Description

The machine was installed in April 2019.

The L250SY CNC turning center from HYUNDAI WIA is characterized by its particular rigidity and precision during machining.

Main spindle
The heat generated by the main spindle is blocked by the use of a symmetrical one-piece base and an insulating plate. This enables high accuracy to be maintained, even during long machining times.

Counter spindle
The 6" counter spindle connected to the Y-axis enables a variety of complex machining operations, resulting in increased productivity. It enables various machining requirements with C-axis control.

C-axis control
The C-axis control of the main and counter spindles enables the machining of various products. Especially with the use of driven tools on the Y-axis.

Ball screw drive
To avoid thermal growth and increase accuracy, all axes are driven by high-precision, double-anchored ball screws. The double-anchored and preloaded design provides excellent positioning and repeatability. The ball screws are directly connected to the servo motor to eliminate backlash.

VDI turret
The VDI turret secures the tools with a single bolt and enables tools to be changed quickly and easily. The Y-axis control and VDI turret enable multi-tasking with a single clamping. In addition, the compact design offers more installation flexibility while maintaining the same machining capabilities.

Box guide
The X/Z axis of the L250SY series is equipped with box guides to reduce vibrations during operation. The box guide enables high-precision cutting under high loads.

Automatic Q-setter
Fast and accurate tool calibration can be achieved by contacting the tool tip with the sensor. This process is easily accomplished using the M-code and the calibration process takes about 30 seconds.

Control system
The SIEMENS SINUMERIK 828D is designed for horizontal/vertical general purpose machines. Its 80-bit control reduces processing time and increases productivity. The 828D is easy to maintain and operate and has simple setup functions.
